Kirsty frowned at Leon and the mutt shrugged,
‘You said your father; I’m presuming he’s a mutt? Not a pack wolf?’ this came from Trey, who was finishing
up his coke,
‘Clever presumption,’ Leon muttered but nodded never the less, trey uttered a low growl in his throat,
‘If there is a loose mutt killing people, women mainly, like Simon, we should investigate,’
‘Good idea captain,’ Leon muttered and Trey stood up, taking one large step to stand merely inches from Leon,
‘I was talking to her,’ the taller male hissed, his hand pointing to Kirsty who swallowed slowly,
‘Trey back off, Leon, behave your not even pack yet. If there is a loose mutt, then yeah we should investi-‘she
was cut off by a form slumping into the kitchen.
It was as if Ludi had collapsed halfway through the door, and then landed hard on the tiles of the kitchen, catching the edge
of the chair Trey had been sat on and knocking it down with her. Several people followed her in, not unconscious as she was
but up and walking, all looking rather concerned. Amy rolled her fellow Beta onto her back and pried her eyelids up,
‘I don’t know….I don’t know what happened. She said she was coming to see-‘
‘Calm down Amy, just back off for a second okay?’ Kirsty said, easing her beta wolf up and away slowly. She crouched
next to Ludi and pulled her out of the door that was pushing against her out stretched leg.
Tugging the female further into the kitchen, meant the rest of the wolves and mutts that had been in the dining room had followed.
They formed a kind of semi-circle, Nathaniel and the auburn haired girl, Nikki, still stood in the doorway, the looks on their
faces completely unsure of what to do. Leon had stepped back towards the smaller boy, Kaze and Adam was behind Nathaniel and
Nikki, back in the dining room. Everyone, where ever they where stood, was looking down on Ludi, who, by the looks of it,
was in a completely different place to them.
Two or Three days ago, The Compound
She woke up with a throbbing head, and instantly clutched it, rubbing her hair away from her eyes. She pried them open slowly
and felt as if her left arm weighted a tone. She looked around at the slightly shaking metal walls and the two unconscious
werewolves on either side of her. She recognised them at once.
Kirsty and Luce.
Hang on, she though, where the fuck am I? she pulled herself up, pressing her hands to the metal walls, then pressing her
face to it slightly, she’d found a small round hole, about the size of the top of a coke can, or beer can, what ever.
It wasn’t that big, but the smell of dirt and sand was clearly there. She frowned, peering out of the hole and around
the dark surroundings. Even with her wolf sight, Ludi couldn’t make out anything. She slid down the wall slowly, placing
memories that were way to distorted back together as the lorry, or what she presumed to be a lorry, rumbled down its dirt
road.
Into her long though of patching memories of being attacked by Resident Evil type soldiers (see Resident Evil 1, 12 minutes
into film) and being drugged up with elephant tranquilizers, Luce awoke, still in wolf form. He prowled around a little, getting
her bearings and footing back. Kirsty followed, jolting around a little more then Luce had done, but as soon as the other
alpha had calmed down the doors where thrown open and Ludi caught sight of a large whitish building, some patched a dirty
colour from sand storms and such. More tranquilizers. And then blackness. Ludi knew the other two alphas where fighting against
the soldiers in their little black jump suits and gas masks, but in human form a werewolf is a little more vulnerable then
in true wolf form.
She blinked her eyes open, rubbing them lightly and pulling herself up on the dark rather battered couch that had appeared
out of no where. Yet again Ludi found herself in an unknown room, with her two alphas. Luce had changed back and was sat against
the back of the settee, nude and hiding from the two CCTV cameras that where on the facing wall to the front of the sofa.
Ludi dropped back onto the floor and looked to her Alpha, Kirsty was crouched at the far end, body poised to pounce on anyone
who dared come through the door.
‘What’s goin-‘Ludi started and the door was pushed open. A flock of guards and one woman clutching a bundle
of clothing came in. She stood, being the only dressed woman there and took the clothes as the woman thrusted them at her.
‘These are for the two unchanged wolves,’ she said to her as she dropped the clothes into Ludi’s arms. She
nodded and the woman turned on her red high heals and left the room once more. Ludi returned to her Alpha’s, giving
them a set of black trousers and white t-shirt each. They took them, grateful of not being nude any more. Minutes passed and
the woman and her guards returned, with a new addition. A tall man with a broad smile across his face.
‘Hello my name is Thomas Perry, head of the Perry Pharmaceutical Industries. Now I know what you are and I’m very
interested on the fact of how you managed to be what you are Werewolf –‘
‘-Werewolf? We’re not were-‘Kirsty started to say, but was cut off almost instantly by Perry,
‘-Now now M’s Robert, lets not get into an argument. All we want is a blood sample from you all...’ he trailed
off as three of the six soldier stepped forward, guns raised. They pulled their triggers and more darts hit them. Ludi was
getting sick of this. She tumbled to the floor and before her mind shut off again she wondered if she was going to get brain
damage.
She really was getting sick of waking up in different places in where ever she was. Yet again Ludi found herself in an almost
completely white room, all tiles and such. Pulling herself into a sitting position she groaned as she tugged the wire and
needle that had some how gotten into her left arm, where the elbow bends. She groaned and someone stepped into her still slightly
sleep blurry vision,
‘You’re Ludifer? Do you have a second name? Or do we just call you Ludifer?’
‘It’s Ludi and no you don’t call me that ‘cos I don’t know who you are,’
‘I’m Kimura and I’m your handler,’
‘Handler?’ Ludi repeated it, looking up at the woman who spoke. She grinned, and it wasn’t a nice grin.
It was a sort of ha-I’m-bigger-then-you grin. Ludi growled. She didn’t like that smile one bit. If any one was
going to smile like that, it was going to be her.
‘Was does it mean?’
‘What?’ Kimura replied to another voice, a male voice. Ludi turned slightly to see a man, all dressed in black
slacks and loafers with a long white lab coat,
‘Ludifer. And I was talking to the subject Kimura not you.’ The guy snapped back, raising his round glasses covered
eyes to Ludi. She glared back, refusing to answer,
‘Your name what does it mean?’ he repeated. Ludi shrugged, refusing to give any reason for why she’d named
herself Ludifer.
In truth Ludi didn’t actually know why she’d called herself that, she just always had. It sounded a hell of a
lot better then her actually name that she’d daren’t say. She just had one of those sneaky suspicions that if
she ever said it her Grandmother would appear, like some sort of uber-power witch. Which her grandmother was.
Wetting her lips lightly with her tongue, Ludi placed her hands on the cold floor and heaved herself upwards, rubbing her
left arm a little, as if it hurt. Kimura watched her carefully, like a good handler should. It hit her then, why the hell
did she need a handler? What the hell was a handler? Frowning, Ludi lunged forward, slamming the woman against the nearest
wall, hand wrapped around her neck. Ludi had time to stare into the cold black eyes she had before a sound much like a gun
blast rattled through the room. She slumped backwards, hitting the floor hard, the chill of her own blood splashing out of
her side. She stared up at Kimura, taking in her features in those small seconds.
The handler was tall, about the same height as Ludi, with long brown come black hair that was tugged back into a tie at the
back of her neck. Her body was slim and lithe, all deadly and such with an array of weapons, two 9 mm and several knifes,
strapped to certain parts of her skin tight leather pants and black top that looked as though it was lined with Kevlar. Ludi
watched as the boot of her handler came towards her face and she grabbed it, twisting it hard and tugging. The bone broke
and Kimura groaned, falling to her knees. Ludi scrabbled forward, grabbing a knife and jamming it into the other woman’s
thigh, she twisted and forced the blade in deeper till she knew it had hit muscle.
Kimura hissed then, turning her eyes to Ludi. Ludi almost gasped as she watched the pupils go from round to cat-like slits.
The handler pushed Ludi away, tugged the blade free and stretched her body out. Ludi watched as she changed almost instantly
and painlessly. For a brief second she wondered how Kimura had done it so easily when her change was like a million hot needles
sticking into ever place in her body. Kimura was now a long strong pure black panther; her black eyes all frowned and evil
looking. Ludi scrabbled backwards straight into the legs of the man, who had been silent the whole time,
‘Now Miss Ludifer, I wouldn’t anger our dead Kimura, she tends to kill what is annoying like that. We just want
to do a few tests, you know push your boundaries, get those hidden qualities found and useful,’ he smiled all too nicely
at her.
