Not again, she thought slowly sitting up and looking around. Everything was in blacks and whites mixed in with grey. He must
have changed back, back to a normal werewolf wolf, Ludi shifted her shoulder blades slowly, standing up and looking around.
Her surroundings came into focus and she pushed herself against the bars that surrounded her. She growled low in her throat,
barked loudly and settled down. She looked around, learning every inch of the room her cage was in. inside she felt strange,
felt violated, felt different. She knew that ghost child was still around somewhere, still in her mind, her body, her soul
ever, just resting there. Like something settled in her stomach waiting to burst out. She turned her head to side and caught
site of a pair of very human eyes. She frowned her wolf burrows and growl low in her throat. Her ears perked up as she concentrated
to hear what he was saying. Normally a wolf couldn’t understand human speak, but living around pack with members who
where sometimes wolf and the rest of the time human, you pick up things easily.
‘Hi-‘ he began, smiling at her and leaning forward, arms lent on his knees, ‘- I’m your Handler, my
names Cross. I’m going to enjoy this-‘Ludi growled low in her throat, ‘hey now, I’m going to look
after you. Like I do all my bitches.’ He laughed a little, sitting back on his chair, reaching for the key around his
neck, ‘this is what’ going to get you out of that cage, Ludifer, is it? But you gotta be a good little wolfie
for a bit,’ his maniacal grin never left his face. She curled back her lips, exposing her all too white fangs to the
man, Cross. He continued to smile gleefully. I’m going to hurt you, Ludi though, as soon as I get free I’m going
to hurt you. She promised mentally to herself.
She knew if she stayed like this, in her wolf form, she was going to get more stick from Cross, so she turned, and padded
around her cell till she found a spot just a little left form the middle to stop and change. Squeezing her eyes shut she dug
her paws into the cold floor and began to shudder, pain etched though her back and everywhere else as the fur retracted into
her skin, her bones moved and her body changed. She herd the guard yelling for something but couldn’t make it out. Mainly
because she wasn’t listening, and mainly because she didn’t care. she wasn’t going to stay in wolf form
forever. She collapsed onto her side and panted loudly. Opening her eyes to stare at Cross and three other guards. Jeeze,
she though, I’m not that dangerous, am I? Scrabbling backwards, Ludi covered her assets well while the four rather male
guards stared at her,
‘Clothes would be nice,’ she barked at them, her voice cold with anger. The door to the cage clinked and unlocked
as the man who called herself her handler came striding in, that horrid grin across his face,
‘Now Miss Ludifer-‘
‘Don’t call me that,’ she hissed, pressing her back harder to the cold bars. He stopped and frowned,
‘-get her some clothes, NOW!’ he yelled and he crouched in front of her, ’no ones going to hurt you,’
‘I know that. If you try anything ill rip your hand or worse something else off. Understand?’ she hissed though
her teeth and he left the cage.
As two of the three guards returned clutching clothes and food, Cross shoved the clothes through the bars and never turned
away as she took them. They where men’s clothes, as she unfolded them, she glared at Cross,
‘Do you mind?’ she muttered and he shook his head. The other guards had left so she could get a little privacy,
but he never did. Cross simply sat there, watching her with far to perverted eyes,
‘Get dressed wolfies,’ he muttered, his mouth twisting into that maniacal grin,
‘John!’ came a rather stern voice from the door. Cross looked over and Ludi joined his gaze. Stood there was a
woman, tall and slim, with brown hair pulled back into a bun at the back of her neck. She was also wearing a white lab coat.
As Ludi looked at her, she also scanned the room, it was in more detail now her sight was in colour. The walls where covered
in pipes and where the colour of mud, it made Ludi think she was underground. As she knelt in the back corner of the cage,
still covering herself as best as she could, she watched as the woman told Cross to get out and then unlock the cage door,
‘here-‘ she started, ‘these are probably more comfortable for you,’ she passed Ludi a new set of clothes.
Women’s clothes. The lady then turned her back on Ludi as she clambered into the clothing that fit rather snugly. ‘Come
on, I’m taking you somewhere a little more accommodating,’ she said with a smile. Ludi climbed out of the cage
and stood up, bones in her arms, legs and neck clicking slightly as she stretched. The woman noted the look on Ludi’s
face and laughed as Cross came storming though the door,
‘I’m escorting her to the room,’
‘Oh come on now John, I’m not stealing her! Jesus men heh?’ the last was aimed at Ludi, who simply shrugged.
‘Well let me explain, you obviously thought this was your room? Ha, when Kimura and her squad –‘
‘Kimura! She’s here? Where am I? Where’s Thomas?’
‘Thomas? Ah she means that guy who worked for Perry,’ this came from Cross, who was talking over Ludi’s
head. Se growled at him and he stepped back. As they walked more guards joined the entourage and Ludi cursed silently under
her breath. This was going to be hard to escape if she was going to.
‘Kimura works for us now. Perry and his lackeys where insane men who wanted to fund military and such things with your
blood samples we –‘
‘Who are you?’ she asked coldly, her stare fixed on the woman’s face,
‘I’m Kate Bishop, lead scientific researcher here at the Cube –‘
‘The Cube?’
‘it’s a high tech facility set to study creatures such as yourself, along with other were-creatures, like Kimura
and your friend the male,’ she waved her hand at a room to her left. The wall was completely see though, much like the
ones at the compound, and laid on a bed in the middle of the room, was Leon. Her was naked from the waist upwards with thick
bandaged over his torso,
‘What happened?’
‘Well Kimura found him with mass tissue damage to his chest, like something had kebabed him,’ Cross laughed, running
a hand though his russet coloured hair. Ludi looked at him and decided she didn’t like him. They turned another corner
and Kate Bishop opened a door to their left, leading the entourage, minus the 4 guards, inside.
The room was alright, a nice looking bed, a desk with a lamp and pad of paper and one pencil, a chair and a set of draws.
She sat on the bed and pressed her hands down the pencil skirt,
‘I’m going to explain now. We are the Cube, we study supernatural beings such as yourself and your friend. We
don’t dissect you, we don’t take blood samples with our consent and we don’t kill you and sell of your abilities
to the highest bidder. We study and try to find out more about you. That’s all. Now this room is your Ludifer, as soon
as your friend wakes up you can see him if you want?’ Ludi nodded and Kate smiled at her, standing and heading out of
the door. Cross nodded and followed her out. As the door shut behind them she head the bolt go across, followed by several
pad locks and an electronically lock,
‘My arse you wont sell me to the highest bidder,’ Ludi muttered, flopping onto the bed and lying back. She heard
the buzz of a camera moving to the side and stood up, locating it and ripping it off the wall.
As she sat back on the bed, she clutched her head as the rather loud voice of Luce came streaming though her mind,
‘LUDI! ARE YOU THERE?’ it was like she was stood right next to her and was screaming into her head,
‘Ow, please not so loud,’ she though, confirming she was hearing her Alpha,
‘OH SORRY..BUT ARE YOU ALRIGHT? WHERE ARE YOU?’ Luce’s thoughts floated into her head and Ludi rubbed her
ears.
‘I’m alright, Leon’s here too, I don’t know where I am. Some place they are calling the Cube. I don’t
know, get me out Luce,’ there was no reply. Just emptiness. She was a little thankful that there was no voice bouncing
around her head, but also a little disappointed. She had no idea where she was, and she doubted they would either.
The Same Time, Stone Haven
‘God Damn it!’ Luce muttered to herself as she tugged the bandaged tight around Amy’s wounded chest. She’d
already wrapped some of the off white cotton around her shoulder where one bullet had skimmed her arm, but Amy was worse off.
The bullet wound was large, and larger still because she’d made Hawk tug the bullet free of her flesh. It had been silver.
To her left Kirsty was slapping Trey awake, her jaw was bruised and healing even as she yelled at the alpha male, he had a
bandage wrapped around his lower stomach where his bullet had hit him. They where all sprawled out on the porch, trying to
get their numbers together.
Leon and Ludi where missing. Probably taken by those commandos. The best witness they had was Hawk, who’d killed two
of them. Moments ago Luce had gotten some sort of contact with Ludi but was abruptly cut off, by what she was completely unsure.
Amy groaned slightly and hawk pulled her head onto his lap, brushing hairs off her face and cooing at her. She opened her
eyes and pulled his head down to hers, their lips meeting and a deep kiss being shared. Luce looked away and stood up, going
into the kitchen and pushing past Kaze, Nathaniel and Adam. Nikki was out on the porch helping or had been helping patch up
people. Luce tugged the fridge door open and unhooked a beer, downing half of it in one go. She lent against the closed door
and looked at Kaze,
‘You’re a witch right?’ he nodded unsurely,
‘Can you locate people?’
