New York, New York

Stone Haven

Kaze has his head on the dinning room table. He was asleep, snoring lightly to himself, the map of the world laid out with the blood stained crystals laid to the side. He snorted slightly and Kirsty jumped. She had been in extreme depth with her book, the third one that week. Her shoulder hurt, her body was too weak to change, and she just felt useless. Ludi and the new guy had been captured, Ludi had become something un-recognisable, and she’d been unable to stop it. Closing the book, she stood and began to walk to the kitchen when a small noise stopped her.
It wasn’t Kaze’s snoring, or the hum from the television set in the next room, but the sound of something dragging along wood she turned, slowly, on her heal, to look at the dinning table, all cleared apart from the slumbering male and the map. Then she saw it, after frowning and almost blaming the noise on her subconscious. The two crystals where rattling and dragging themselves, slowly, from by Kaze’s hand to a spot on the big America bit. They wobbled for a second then stood up right, on their tips and began to etch across the map, as if the owners of the blood that covered them where moving. She stared at the crystals for a moment then slapped Kaze hard on the back. He spluttered and looked at her, all wide eyes and shocked,
‘What?’ he muttered, yawning and rubbing his left eye,
‘What does that mean?’ she asked, pointing at the crystals as they moved.

Outside The Cube

He stood silent as she came lumbering towards him. Blood poured from different wounds and other blood from victims of her power rolled off her wiry sparse fur. She roared, body tense with power,
‘You took your time,’
She roared,
‘fine Sabre-tooth,’ he dropped into a “Ichimonji” stance (front leg forward, rear leg backwards supporting the majority of the weight while the left arm is extended pointing at the opponents heart the right hand rests in the crook of the left- consider it a Ninjitsu lesson – thanks Turk)
“…Come on” With a roar the Werebeast lunged at him but he knew some or the slow movements from fighting it before. But he also knew he might die...again. Leon easily forward rolled around the attack, rising just at the side of the beast. As it turned he broke the “Queensbury” rules and thrusted his middle and index fingers into her eyes, it roared again and scraped at its face, trying to get the pain away maybe?
’catch me if you can!’ Leon yelled as it roared in anger, frustration or pain. He turned on his bare heal and re-sheathed the sword, whilst he ran towards the sound of cars. Could he run right onto the highway and let Ludi get hit by a car? Maybe. He didn’t want to die again. The beast caught hold of his leg and pulled him down. He wasn’t concentrating. Swinging his leg upwards he smashed his foot into its muzzle and pulled his foot away before Ludi could chomp on his toes. Rolling upwards he launched his self into the air, a perfect round house kick to the head. Landing in the mud he groaned as he slipped and smacked his head on a rock. Scrabbling backwards he heard clapping from behind him. He span around and for a split second his father stood there. A grin on his face, hair stuck to his face, the same evil smirk across his face. Ludi roared and Leon looked at her. Then back to the spot. His father was gone.
Hallucination?
Or not?
Leon rubbed his head and jumped up, trying not to slip again. The beast lunged at him and he ran out of the way, tucking his sword into the hem of his trouser again. The highway was a little more then 2 miles away. He was going to make it. So he ran. He ran his fucking arse off.

Stone Haven

‘So its settled, we find them, both of them and then we formulae that other half of the plan?’ Trey said, rapping his figners across the table top in the kitchen. Kirsty nodded, lent back against the kitchen counter, she squeezed the can in her hand and felt the aluminium cut into her palm slightly. Dropping the squished can into the bin she clutched her hand together till the bleeding stopped, then turned to the rest of the Pack, who had managed to get into the fairly small kitchen,
‘Amy, Luce, Hawk, and Kaze you’re coming with us. The rest of you are staying here, in case one heads back this way.’ Kirsty said, not letting anyone adding anything as she headed out of the kitchen, up the stairs and into her room.
Flopping onto the large bed, she ran her hands through her long red hair, taking in a deep breath. What are we supposed to do when we get Ludi back? She thought, frowning in thought, we don’t even know what she is. The door creaked open slowly, the white vested clad trey looking with at concern at her. He came into the room slowly and Kirsty let herself be gathered into his arms.
His mouth found hers, his hands crumpled and ripped her shirt and the door to the room slammed shut.

New York

Leon inhaled slowly, the trail of cigarette smoke ebbing from his mouth, he’d been sat on the same bench since he’d reached New York, the nicotine sticks found in the jacket he’d taken from a dead solider helped make him a little more invisible. He looked a lot like a hobo at the moment. Mud stained clothing, heavy battered jacket and shoe-less feet. His reflection in a rain made muddy puddle showed him as being really battered, like he’d come from an explosion. Healing grazes and scratches along with mud and other things soaked hair; he raked a hand through his shoulder length brown locks then, sighing.
That was a nothing thing on his list, get clothes, and then follow the scent. He was here to find his father. Before the pack found him. Or before Ludi found him. He shuddered slightly, the sun cruising upwards slowly. If he wanted clothing he’d have to get it now.
Heaving his weary body upwards, Leon flicked the cigarette to the floor and began to move across the grassy verge he’d seated himself at.
Several minutes later, after shimming through a small open window at the back of a urban clothing store, Leon was dressed as normal as he could make it. Face washed from a bottle of water and hair combed with his fingers. He now wore, in addition to the heavy solider jacket, a plain white tee, dark blue jeans black socks and black military styled boots, all battered and wore for the effect of owning them along time. In the newly acquired rucksack was another change of clothing and a spare jacket, to switch to at any time. Tucked into the hem of his jeans was the sawn off shot gun from underneath the shops counter, 25 shells tucked into his jeans pockets. He’d grabbed another box of cigarettes, of which 3 where already missing, and then left by his entrance of the small window.
He stood now in the alley way just up from the clothes store, rubbing one of the shot gun shells across a wound on his leg, his blood coating the lead bullet. Placing the shell in a secluded spot, he hoped it would give the pack a clue to his were a bout’s, if they managed to find him here.

The pain in her side was becoming difficult to stand. The child wanted to rest, she could bargain with letting the owner of the body have it back for a while. Let the werewolf witch have her sanity back a little, which the child rested. And so she did. Ludi’s body had been rejecting the spirit since it had began its trek after the other wolf, the male one, her body throwing up and collapsing in pain ever now and again after the change back from beast.
Now, as Ludi lay on her side, her mind taking back hold of what was originally hers, she began to shake, she was cold. Who wouldn’t be if they where mud covered and naked. Looking around slowly, Ludi realised that she was laid at the very edge of a highway, the highway that was lined with the scent of Leon. She pulled herself unto all fours and looked around, looking for clothing. To her left was highway, to her right was highway, but also a broken down family camper van thing.
With as much strength and stealth as she could muster, Ludi made her way towards the family home, crept in as the family of 4 yelled at each other for the vehicle being broken down, and began to root around for clothing.
The door slammed as she vaulted through the back window, landing heavily on an injury on her leg. Gritting her teeth, Ludi tore off back into the trees, crouching and watching, figuring out a way to get to Stone Haven.
Go after the man.
A voice in the back of her head muttered, and no doubt it was the spirit,
‘Why?’ she asked out loud,
He can help us.
Ludi gritted her teeth, watching as the family camper van began to pull onto the highway. Heading along the scent trail of Leon. She frowned, then dug her teeth into the ground, running as fast as she could towards the van. She dived, grabbed the railing at the back, smashed her foot against the small boot like compartments lock and slid in, tugging it shut behind her. Lying down on her only uninjured side and letting her eyes close slowly.
