Chapter 5 – Beast’s and Death’s and Old Face’s

She was running, running towards the dark line of trees, behind her Leon was trying to keep up. He’d tumbled own the stairs and grabbed the nearest coat, Treys leather jacket, then dived through the broken front door which Ludi had decide to crash though. He skidded along the gravel, loosing footing and scraping his side and face along the stones. Tugging himself up, he vaulted into the back of the Toyota truck they where yet to get rid off and threw aside pieces of wood and metal, gripping the black and silver scabbard of his short Tanto like sword.
He hadn’t told them he’d gotten it back. He’d just hidden it in the back of the truck, along with the bag of clothes he’d found that belonged to him. Leon knew they where being to wondered where he got the half decent dress shirt from and was going to have to tell them, them being the three Alphas, about his sword and clothes, along with the wad of money rolled into a pair of socks in the bottom of the duffle bag. Jumping down from the truck, he lifted his nose to the air, sniffing slightly. He caught a whiff of the slightly unfamiliar scent of Ludi. Thus Leon turned towards the forest that he’d yet to explore ad began to run.

Inside Stone Haven

Kirsty groggily pulled herself out of the bed and tugged on a t-shirt over her sweaty flesh. She’d somehow managed to get tangled inside of the sheet and quilt and then tumbled down to the bottom of the bed, all wrapped up and that. She’d woken a few minutes earlier when a piecing howl rattled through the large house. She knew something was up, but her body refused to move faster. Maybe the pain ebbing through her still un-healed shoulder was making her slow or just the knowledge of being infected with wolf’s bane made her slow and almost un-real like. As the door crashed open, she lifted her hybrid coloured eyes to look at Leon who frantically babbled something about Ludi changing into something strange. That was two minutes ago, she was now dressed and heading down the stairs. Behind her Luce, Trey, Amy and Hawk followed. Three of them where all in human form, Hawk was padding around with his golden wings folded back against his bright fur,
‘Ludi’s not in her room and neither is Leon, I think we should all head out into the forest, look for them both,’ this came from Luce and the rest nodded, including Kirsty, who yawned as well. She rubbed her wounded shoulder and headed for the back door.
Breaking out into the cold night air, Hawk pushed himself off the edge of the porch and flapped his long wings, once twice and then he was above the tree tops, circling and diving into the branches. They headed towards the tree line, separating to cover more ground.

Inside the Forest

Ludi’s mind was blurred, anything that was human seemed to have been pushed to the side and now all that was running was that ghost child, or what Ludi’s human mind though to be the ghost thing. She knew what she was thinking right then wasn’t what she’d ever think normally. Who would normally think about ripping people apart. She smelt human and knew she was headed towards the town. She knew if she got there then she would kill. And she knew she wouldn’t stop until she changed back, or worse was killed. She heard a warriors cry come from behind her and she whipped around, a balled clawed hairy fist swinging around and catching Leon across the chest. He flew backward, tugging his sword from it scabbard, the blue and gold decorations glinting in the strained moon light. She swung her arms around once more and the little man swung through tree, their branches cutting into his flesh of his arms and face. Ludi didn’t see him land, simply turned back to her first direction and began to run again.
Leon heaved himself upward, rubbing his head and brushing his dark brown hair out of his face. Already his skin was plastered with sweat and he quickly slipped the blood soaked tattered shirt he’d been wearing. His chest was muscled and slightly blood stained from the already healed finger marks on each shoulder from Ludi. Tugging the black leather jacket back over his bare skin, Leon peering through the trees, he began to run again, catching a glimpse of Ludi ever now and again. Grabbing hold of a branch he tugged himself upward, leaping from thick branch to thick branch till he dropped down on her, the silver double edged diamond blade hitting the beast square in the back. The blade didn’t go deep and as soon as he’d struck, Ludi had thrown him off and slammed him against another tree.
Air wheezed out of him and the blade brushed the side of his leg as the beast tugged it from it furred muscled back and threw it. Blood stained the blade and Leon knew he’d hurt it. Gripping the hilt once more, he pulled himself upward, brushing a line of blood from the corner of his mouth and charging, he embed the blade within the flesh of its stomach, twisting the blade quickly, this way and that then thrusting it further in,
‘Jeez girl, I know you don’t know me, maybe not lik-‘ a clawed fist swiped around his torso and cut into flesh, he growled and finished his sentence. ‘-like me, but this ain’t no way to go about it,’
‘A...way…ge…way...’ came the rather strained voice of what had once been Ludi. Leon tugged the blade outwards and pressed his hand momentarily against her chest, the place where her heart would be (stealing here, HP POA the movie),
‘Here Ludi, you belong in this heart, here,’ she swiped at him again and Leon’s blade once again struck her flesh, slicing downwards. He heard howls and running paws and knew someone was coming. He knew then some pack was coming, coming to help him. In his momentarily distraction of the though of help he found Ludi’s clawed paw whack him over the head, the extended black claws scrapping down his face, bloody groves left behind. He stuck for the last time, shoving the blade into her shoulder. He slumped backwards, clutching his face and chest, the leather jacket of Treys slippy with blood.
He briefly saw the beast tug the blade free of its flesh, blood running down its hairy chest. He kept himself up by leaning against the tree and soon, the blade of his own sword, through his own chest, kept him propped up as it struck tree bark though his flesh. It was a miracle how it had missed his organs, but still broken two ribs as it stuck. Leon’s eyes fluttered and his mouth moved,
‘This heart…’he mouthed before black over took him and he died.

Amy came bounding through the tree line, her claws extended and paws stretched out as she lunged forward, sticking Ludi in the left flank. She rolled to the side as Ludi retaliated by flinging a fist out wards. Hawk came down into a wonderfully un-graceful landing next to Amy, who pulled herself upward and locked her fangs into the neck of the beast. Trey and Luce came crashing through the trees and shrubs, trey barrel rolling right into Ludi’s stomach as she fell to her knees, wolves locking their fangs into her flesh, trying to bring her back to what she really was. Not this beast. But pack, werewolf pack, not Werebeast. Luce joined in soon, locking into her back, willing her pack sister to change back. Kirsty came last, panting slightly. She first saw thing that was Ludi, then the dead body of Leon pinned to a tree. She walked over slowly and pulled the blade free.

Limbo, that place before Death (copy and paste yadda yadda)

She turned to face and we both smiled at the sight of one another. She was beautiful; all pretty faced and long haired, big brown eyes glinting at him.
’Carla!’ he yelled running to her.
’Leon,’ she replied as they embraced. How long he’d waited to taste her lips again. How long he’d waited to be rejoined with the woman he loved. Loves.
’God I've missed you,’
’I missed you too’ they where hugging, just for the sake of touching one another again.
’I'm sorry...’ He mumbled before she cut him off and small smile across her perfectly feminine features,
‘Stop that!’ she almost laughed, flashing her white teeth into a full smile,
’...But,’
’It wasn't you're fault!’ her hands stroked down his face and she felt, she felt so cold, so un-solid,
’But I couldn't save you,’
’Exactly! So stop looking for redemption, for forgiveness and live you're life!’
’I want to stay with you!’ they were yelling at one another, like they were being pulled apart, the gap between them widening, their fingers brushed one last time and they where separated almost completely. Around them the scene came back into view, Amy was battling Ludi, her wolfen muzzle locked onto the beast’s neck, fangs dug into the flesh, blood rolling out onto the light coloured fur on Amy’s snout. The rest of the pack where appearing, a bad landing from Hawk, the changed form of Luce and Trey and Kirsty, her eyes darting from the sword sticking out of chest Leon to the battle between wolf and were-beast-thing.
’Its not you're time, we'll meet again but I can always see you always hear you...’ Carla yelled to Leon as he began to grown closer to his dead body. His feet filled his solid feet, his legs onto his legs, slowly he began to ghostly re-fill his dead body,
‘I've gotta go,’ he mumbled, sadness filling him slowly. She flashed another smile at him, waving slowly,
’Save you're friends,’ he was fully in his body now, the blade free was his chest suddenly, his eyes snapped open and Kirsty jumping back and dropping his sword.

Stone Haven Forest

Leon blinked up at Kirsty several times then blacked out once more. She found herself then shoving her hands against the volcano of blood coming from his chest, she ripped at her t-shirt, pulling half off it off and pressing it to his chest. She could feel it slowing down slowly, the tense muscles relaxing a little under her hands. She ripped a little more off, making a long bandage that would hold the wad to his chest she fastened it and turned around at exactly the wrong moment.
Bullets erupted from all corners of the trees. One hit Luce another skimmed Trey and one hit Amy in the chest. All three wolves flew off Ludi and hit various trees and such. Hawk pushed off into the air, skimming down to attack one of the camouflaged commandos. Kirsty whirled around, her mind a blurry, No, please no, not again. Her mind though as the butt of the gun hit her jaw and she fell to the ground, along side Leon. Unconscious.
Ludi roared at the men, striking at them as her eyes scanned over her fallen friends, her fallen family, the only ones who could help. Her mind darkened then, falling into her dark room, back into the human space. She took over then. The real Ludifer, she pushed that spirit away and made her body change back. Made her body hers again. She felt no pain till the three darts hit her in the neck. She knew that horrid feel. The feel of rhino tranquilizers. The commandos advanced, and a dark feminine figure came behind them. Her two 9mm where in her gloved hands, her grip tight. Dark black eyes flashed over the naked form of Ludi, then to the bleeding male of Leon,
‘we’re here for her, and him,’ she said to a lower ranking commando, who nodded and gave orders. Kimura grinned lightly. Scanning over the fallen bodies of the rest of the Stone Haven pack, ‘bye bye wolfies,’ she mocked, turning on her heal and following her commandos.
