Construction Yard: this structure is deployed from the Mobile Construction vehicle that is owned by both sides. This building
allows you to build other buildings and increase the power of your army.
Power plant and power turbine: this powerplant comes with only one power turbine to start with, but you can build up to a
maximum of 2 more per powerplant. Without power, your base is offline and you are extremely vulnerable.
Tiberium Refinery: this comes with a free mining unit and has a limited capacity for the money it can hold.
Tiberium Silos: unlike Red Alert 2, whose refineries can hold an unlimited amount of money, Tiberium sun must build these
to store there money. And you might want to be careful, as these become volatile when they are full.
Barracks: this allows you to train GDI infantry.
War Factory: this allows you to build GDI vehicles.
Service Depot: this building allows you to repair any vehicle that got damaged in a small fight.
Radar: this gives you radar and is necessary to have some advanced units.
Helipad: this is owned by both sides, the GDI one can only make GDI hovercraft while the nod one can only make Nod aircraft.
Tech Center: this is like the battlelab for Red Alert 2. This gives you access to the most powerful technology and units that
the GDI has.
Uplink Center, Ion Cannon uplink, Seeker control, drop pods: each of these things has a different ability that they are designed
for. The Ion Cannon Uplink allows you to call in the Ion Cannon superweapon. The drop pods allow you to bring in Infantry
reinforcements, and the Seeker control allows you to have the Hunter-Seeker robot, this is a unit that will randomly lock-on
to an enemy and it will chase and destroy its target.
Firestorm Generator: the Firestorm Generator allows you to have one of the best defenses in the game. From the wall sections,
it generates an impenetrable wall that nothing except a few select things can get through. But only for a short time.
***************************defenses
Pavement: this prevents subterranean units from burrowing into your base.
Walls: there walls, they keep infantry out, what more can be said?
Gate: this automatically allows friendly units to come in, but it keeps enemies out of your base.
Component Tower, SAM site upgrade, Vulcan Cannon upgrade, RPG upgrade: this is the only offensive base defense; it can be
upgraded with the SAM to shoot at aircraft, the RPG to do damage to tanks, or the Vulcan Cannon to shoot at infantry.
EMP cannon: another thing that both sides own. This fires an EMP charge a long way. Anything in the blast radius is shut down.
Firestorm wall section: this is the place in where the Firestorm defense is activated. See "Firestorm Generator"
for more information.
