Me and my friend have been developing theories as to why exactly Command and Conquer happened the way it did. We came up with
this:
the first event was the world-changer: Einstein went back in time to obliterate Hitler from history. This of course had a
ripple effect causing changes in the future as well as in the past.
At some point in the past, an asteroid hit the Earth causing the moon to form. In C&C this was the same thing, however, this
asteroid was laced with blue Tiberium, a rare but explosive stain, and that meteor was pulled in by Earth's gravity.
When the meteor hit, it wasn't traveling as fast as it was in our reality, so while the asteroid hit, and formed the moon,
it also allowed the planet to keep it's speed, which was twice as slow as it is on our Earth.
What does this have to do with anything?
Kane doesn’t appear to change from Red Alert one to Tiberium Sun Firestorm, so as a result, people in C&C live longer,
and age slower relative to us.
That and the fact that at the end of Tiberium Sun Firestorm, Kane is shown in some cryogenic tube (EVEN THOUGH HE WAS KILLED!)
with several clones. This also suggests that he had contact with Yuri who used practically nothing BUT clones.
Now, how did he GET the clones?
Simple, during the Second Great War (Red Alert 1), Yuri was a good friend of Stalin, as seen in this photograph
However, Kane was also working with Stalin. this in turn led Yuri to read Kane's thoughts for world domination, and before
long, Yuri couldn’t tell who's thoughts where his own, Stalin’s, or Kane's, and so he went insane, thus causing
Yuri's Revenge.
What does this have do with cloning?
Nod had infiltrators waiting for something like this to occur, and when Yuri came to power, Nod stole planes for Yuri's Cloning
Vats, and with this, they could make clones of Kane.
it is clear that Nod doesn’t know about this, because Kane appears in Tiberium Sun to the cheering of Nod forces, and
he will be in C&C 3, the next Commander and Conquer, even though in the GDI ending of Tiberium Sun, Kane gets impaled by a
spike in the ending movie by Commander McNeil.
There is a good reason why Kane never tells anyone about his clones: he's making a martyr of himself. Thus making Nod believe
that Kane is TRUELY a Messiah, and thus, cannot be killed.
Next topic: Mammoth Tank and why it changes through the games.
Why the constant changes? Simple: as technology changes, so does everything else. The original Mammoth was designed to be
the best tank in the world for that time, but it had its weaknesses. For instance, it was slow, and as such, could easily
be overwhelmed.
The Apocalypse Tank was a modified version of the original Mammoth, however, its armour is so strong, I have seen it personally
get hit with a direct nuclear hit, and it only suffered minor damage.
In the next stage of the Mammoth's development, the Soviets, not wanting to get involved in the GLA conflict, gave the Chinese
the planes for the Apocalypses Tank, and the Chinese in turn modified it, thus creating the Overlord Tank. This tank is easily
the most powerful tank in ANY C&C game that I have seen so far. Especially since it can be upgraded with a Bunker, Gattling
Cannon, or a Propaganda tower to have more use to it.
However, before Tiberium came to Earth, this tank was too expensive, and when the GDI formed, they decided to switch to back
to the original Mammoth.
When the Second Tiberium War came around, a prototype of the Mammoth Mk II was created. This tank instead of normal cannons
had two extremely powerful rail guns on in that could easily reduce anything to molten slag or bloody goo in often one shot.
the reason this tank is a Mech is because with the advancements in tank technology, the GDI decided to create everything in
that form, improving the tank's stance, and height allowing their tanks to shoot over walls with ease.
Now, until C&C 3 comes out, I won't be able to make anything for the Mammoth Mk III. The reason for that? I don't know too
much about it. EA Games has been pretty secretive about C&C 3, but it IS coming out.
